Safety & rights

How music2video keeps every video family-friendly, protects your music and respects copyright.

Last updated: 2026-10-24

music2video is made for independent artists, worship teams and podcasters. These are the rules we build by, and the rules everyone who uses the product agrees to.

Family-friendly, always

  • No adult content, ever. We don't allow sexual content, nudity, sexualised poses or suggestive imagery anywhere on music2video — not in uploads, not in AI generations, not in templates.
  • People are shown respectfully. Any person in a generated image or video must be fully clothed and depicted in a non-sexual way. Our own site imagery shows places, instruments and light, not people.
  • No impersonation. You may not create videos that imitate a real artist, use someone else's likeness without permission, or suggest an endorsement that doesn't exist. We don't offer lip-sync or face-swap features.

How AI generations are kept clean

When AI features are switched on, every job passes through several checks before you see a result:

  1. Prompt filter. Requests are screened against a blocklist and a classifier before they reach any model. AI music video shots use preset camera moves only — there is no free-text prompt.
  2. Upload screening. Photos you upload for AI features are checked for nudity and sexual content before they are processed.
  3. Model safety. We only use model providers with built-in safety checks, and we keep those checks switched on.
  4. Output review. Generated images are re-checked before delivery. AI video is not offered until frame-by-frame review of outputs is in place.
  5. Reporting. Anything that slips through can be reported from your project or by email, and we act on reports quickly.

AI jobs that are blocked or fail are refunded automatically.

Your music stays yours

  • Previews and browser exports never leave your device. Your audio is decoded and rendered in your browser. Files only reach our servers when you use an AI feature or request server rendering, and then only to process that job.
  • We don't train AI models on your uploads. We don't sell your files or use them to build datasets.
  • You keep your rights. You own the videos you make from music you own. We don't claim any rights to your music or artwork.

Copyright

  • Only upload music, lyrics, photos and artwork that you own or are licensed to use.
  • Karaoke and lyric tools are meant for your own songs, songs you have rights to, and private practice. Uploading covers or karaoke versions to platforms may require licences — follow each platform's rules.
  • Rights holders can send takedown requests to our copyright contact; we respond to valid notices and remove infringing content.

Worship teams and CCLI

Projecting or streaming song lyrics in church usually requires a licence such as CCLI, and livestreaming often needs a separate streaming licence. music2video lets you add your licence line to each video, but checking that your church holds the right licences is up to you.

Platforms

music2video is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Spotify, TikTok, YouTube, Instagram or any other platform we mention. Platform specs change — always check each platform's current guidelines before uploading.

Age

You must be at least 13 years old to use music2video, and old enough to agree to these terms where you live.
